Is there no function to save your username and password, or do we have to type the details in every time we p[ost? Yes. Freeware - need I cay more? If Ramsey and the Tech Team ever manage to con any dosh out of a third party for Web development, the reduction of RSI on the Board will be a priority. Having said that - the board remembers my username and password - I suspect this is an Admin thing, might work for Mods too. |

It seems upside down to my brain, too. I like to see the latest message in a thread as I'm typing a new one. Is there no function to save your username and password, or do we have to type the details in every time we p[ost? |

I would like to configure this so that the discussion threads from top to bottom – it seems upside down to my brain. Although I hope that having active threads moved to the top is considered better than the old method of scrolling down to the foot of the board for new threads. If I can make the sub topic lay out thread downwards I will do so. I don’t think that should prevent us from rolling out this board. |

You are correct Huw. This board runs on the same software as the last board. For our needs and from a technical perspective, we see little justification in moving to a different system – at least at the moment. Costs are a large consideration – both in terms of software/licensing, and the resources needed to run it, which include technical maintenance, programming and bandwidth. But nothing ever stays the same. Who knows what the future holds? |

You know, to me this new board looks very much the same as the old one - are there any real improvements and advantages over the one that we've been using for the last few years? I'd expected that if we were to move to a new board it would be more of an upgrade - something like vBulletin, perhaps. Not complaining, just wondering... |

There are sound technical reasons for the change. The look of the board is a reasonable match for Ramsey’s Website. We did try a white/grey on black layout and I have to say it looked pretty awful – but I accept this is subjective. Still, it’s the content that counts most. That’s where the real quality is. And we have quality in spades. |

It's not as easy as it first seems to make a darker scheme lay out for clarity. I think this is as close as we're going to get. Let's see how the board pans out and we will revisit it if we think it neccessary. There are 20 registered members on this board. There were 62 on the old board. When Gary thinks we have got the bulk of the live accounts, we will switch over. |

Normally the text will wrap according to your screen resolution and browser window size. Look at that photo of those nice ladies further up the page? Is it wider than your browser window can display without horizontal scroll bars? If so, that's the reason. |

I knew there'd be a good reason for that picture! What resolution are you running at, GCW? If it's 1024*768 or (god forbid) even lower, that'll probably explain it. That piccie is 1000 pixels wide - you may even be running at 1280*1024 and still have horizontal sliders. |
