Hello all, We've just announced the first of our planned Halloween events: an evening of Occult Horror featuring readings by Ramsey Campbell, Adam Nevill and John Reppion from 7 to 9.30pm on Thursday 27th October at Halton Lea Library in Runcorn. Tickets are free and can be booked by emailing paranormalweek@gmail.com. Full details can be found here: http://twistedtalesevents.blogspot.com/2011/09/new-event-evening-of-occult-horro r-at.html Libraries across the country are struggling in a hostile environment at the moment, so please help us to make this event a real success by publicizing it wherever possible. If you have any questions or comments, please post them in this thread. David |

Sounds good, David. Wish I could be there but Runcorn is too far for me (and Warwick is *way* too far - sorry, Zed). But what I can do is leak a little news about me here which could be of use to you. I'm shortly to take over as online news editor for the BFS, so if you guys would like to let me know when you have a new event coming up (not just David and Zed but anyone and everyone here on the board), I'll post it on the BFS site (that is, when the site is working again - it's been down for a while - wasn't me who broke it, honest!). Anyway, email me on callag at blueyonder dot co dot uk (obviously, turn that into a proper email address) if you have news of any such events or publications which you'd like me to put on the BFS site. |

Hi Caroline, we'd really appreciate it if you could publicize the Occult Horror event for us. All the information required is on the blog post linked to in my first post. You should be able to copy the flyer art, but if not let me know and I'll email it to you. I'll send you details of the next event along with the flyer, when it is ready. Good luck to Zed with the Warwick University event! Here's the Facebook event page for the Evening of Occult Horror... http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=270171676344782 |

I miss these events, living in NZ, but I'll share where I can and spread the word, David. |

Hi David - will do! The BFS site is working again today, and I've just managed to put my first bits of news up on there. I'll do some more tomorrow, including your event. We can only put a small number of peices of news up each day or else they just fall off the front page and no-one notices them. Don't forget to put me on your mailing list for news of your other events as and when they're announced. |
