As part of the build-up to our Occult Horror event, we asked Adam Nevill to interview Ramsey for our blog. You can read it here...

http://twistedtalesevents.blogspot.com/2011/09/ramsey-campbell-interviewed-by-ad am.html

I found the revelations about Ramsey's writing process particularly interesting. Please let me know what you think about it in this thread and share the link.

Best,

David

Terrific interview. Ramsey saying he doesn't try to terrify the reader makes me wonder if that's an example of the Tindersticks line: Impossible to learn, it had to come naturally.

There's a typo in Simon B's name, hope that's correctable.

Hi Joel,

I was also struck by Ramsey's comment that he never struggles to find new ideas; very impressive after such a long and prolific career to date.

Typo has been corrected.

That's an excellent, and substantial, interview. Really enjoyed reading that (very bloody humbled to get a mention, too).

Great interview- Adam's a good, perceptive commentator on the field as well as a fine writer. Like Zed, honoured and humbled by the mention.

Nice to hear there'll be a new collection of non-fiction, too.
