No. It normally starts on the Friday afternoon and ends around midday on Sunday, I think. They seem to have gone for a longer weekend this time though.

Not sure if I'm going to be able to make it again with it being so far for me to travel. It's about time they had a FCon up north.

I think it's only down as starting on thursday if you want to register - I believe (but I'm happy to be proved wrong) that the programming doesn't start until friday morning.

"It's about time they had a FCon up north."

Alt.Fiction is a bit like that, do you think? It's in Leicester in April.

Ooo, I didn't know it was in Leicester this time. It was Derby before, wasn't it? I was definitely thinking of trying to get to AltFiction in 2012 - especially if I can't manage FCon.

Even so, Leicester is a fair old trek from where I am - could do with being even further north imo.

I had a fantasy con in my hallway. A guy sold me a baby unicorn. Turned out it was just a large rat with a matchstick spatpled to its head.

I spent literally seconds (maybe even a minute) slaving over that joke! Whole seconds of my life, my blood, my sweat, my inspiration... and for what?

I think I'm going to flounce off in a hissy fit and say rude things about everyone on facebook.

Hope so Mick ....But once NZ gets hold of you though it is hard to go anywhere. Summer is here 25C. Watched someone catch fish using a line baited at intervals using an orange bag as a float, today. They must have taken enough home to feed the family for weeks. The Bird family have opted for a rod and are going surfcasting tomorrow!

Also we watched a pilot loop the loop over the bay. The jaw dropping bit was then when he flew straight up, stalled, turned and dived down towards the sea, and then engine started again. Risky business.

Mind you on six mile long beach there were only four families ....three of them were fishing.
