Quick bit of shameless pluggage: those nice/foolhardy folk at the Horrifically Horrifying Horror Blog have only gone and interviewed me, haven't they? I answer their questions at some length (think I must have been at the Pepsi Max a bit too much that day.) If you are so inclined, 'tis here: http://thehorrificallyhorrifyinghorrorblog.wordpress.com/2011/12/05/take-a-bow-f or-simon-bestwick/

Good interview, mate.

Joolz Denby used to have her hair done in the salon my partner used to manage in Bradford. We've hung out with her a few times.

Also, what Matheson tales are in Shock 3? I never owned that one, just Shocks 1 & 2.

Also, you give good advice on how to be a writer.

Way cool- she does tattoos now, too, apparently. If I ever decide to get one done, I know who I'm going to.

Shock 3 has:-

Girl Of My Dreams
'Tis The Season To Be Jelly
Return
The Jazz Machine
The Disinheritors
Slaughter House
Shock Wave
When The Waker Sleeps
Witch War
First Anniversary
Miss Stardust
Full Circle
Nightmare at 20,000 Feet.

And thanks :-)

Ah, I must have owned it, cos I've read all them.

A silly Matheson I love:

A Big Surprise.

Yeah, I'm fond of that one. I have all 3 Shock collections. Such a brilliant writer.

Great interview.
Sound writing advice, and your take on celeb culture is bang on.
