I haven't yet. Not out on DVD over here, and I'm taking a break from ordering silly amounts of films over the net. But I will, and look forward to it. It looks old school, Romero like. I watched Survival of the Dead again the other day, and have to say the film has really grown on me. I think it's by far the best of the second trilogy. It's got tremendous production values, which I think were mishandled on Land, and its black comedy elements are far more effective than in Diary. It's an intelligent film, and has a killer last shot with the moon riding high and the two old-timers shooting it out for all eternity. My films of last year (BTW): 1. Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy and Drive 2. The Kill List 3/4/5 The Pusher Trilogy 6. Scott Pilgrim Vs The World 7. Incendies 8. Down Terrace 9. Inception 10. Animal Kingdom (More than ten films, but who's counting) | ||

No, that was Land. I said I would have to give it time as I couldn't make up my mind. I always argue with you about Land though. Still will  But that's why I mentioned Survival to you, to show that I can concede the point that Romero hasn't lost it. | ||

I enjoyed a lot of THE DEAD, Frank. A little overlong, and too many scenes relied on the "Oh, shit our transport's conked out and - double shit - here come the zombies", but it was solid enough and the two central performances were very good. | ||
