I'd like to take this opportunity to update you on what's going on with Ash-Tree eBooks.

Today we released the eBook edition of M. R. James's A PLEASING TERROR, fully annotated, with all the material of the print book edition (except the illustrations), the odd few typos corrected, and an article that hid while we were doing the book edition included. There will be a new print edition of this in due course, but meanwhile you can get A PLEASING TERROR for Kindle or ePub readers for $9.99 (better than the $600 being asked in some places . . .) Full details are at www.ash-tree.bc.ca/eBooks.htm

Coming up soon: the eBook edition of Glen Hirshberg's AMERICAN MORONS and the Ellen Datlow-edited WILD JUSTICE (originally published in the UK only as the paperback LETHAL KISSES). Work also continues on our classic range: Burrage, E. F. Benson, Wakefield, etc., and we'll be adding Munby's THE ALABASTER HAND and Swain's STONEGROUND GHOST STORIES soon, too.

Nor are our contemporary fictioneers ignored! Joel, Steve Duffy, Simon Unsworth, Reggie Oliver, Steve Rasnic Tem, Matt Cardin & Co, are already Ash-Tree eBooks . . . and we want to add more (and, yes, we are looking for collections not previously published by Ash-Tree).

So if you are an eBook fan, we're doing our best for you. And if you're not an eBook fan, you can try them out for next to nothing. Check out Kindle for PC, Adobe Digital Editions, Calibre, and the rest of the free software out there . . . it all helps to add to your reading material at a minimum cost.

And now back to normal programming.
Christopher
