Hey, Gary, did you get my email about you-know-what? Only I'm wondering if the answer's "yes" or "no"?

(and if you didn't get my email, you'll be thinking "what the heck's she on about?" - as will everyone else here, I guess)

It all depends on whether Gary's said "yes" or "no" to me, Mick.

No, seriously, before anyone else gets any strange ideas - I just wondered if my email to Gary about something perfectly innocent (after all, I'm almost old enough to be his mum!) had got through to him as I hadn't had a response. I don't want to start any odd internet rumours or anything ...

You keep your fur-lined handcuffs to yourself and stop sending me messages about them!

Gary, I've mentioned your classic 'Fragment of Life' story today in a real-time review of another book. I was wondering whether this has ever been reprinted since appearing in 'Cern Zoo'?

Not yet, Des, but I'm thinking of putting it in my forthcoming PS Publishing collection SHADES OF NOTHINGNESS.

Thanks for renewed warm comments.

I do not intend to make a habit of this - but I had again an irresistible need to mention 'Fragment of Life' (in this review here)

Another story with a similar theme, Des, is one by Conrad Williams. Forget the title, but I think it was in one of the Jones anthos.
