Yesterday I read about a new fungus that feeds on plastic. It is believed that it will eventually save us from the plastic pollution which is killing our planet. In the same article a toadstool was mentioned which feeds on - wait for it - soiled baby diapers. Apparently the thing tastes ok after it has done away with a urine-soaked specimen. I'm not making this up. |
