I'm delighted to announce that the U.S. publisher Dark Regions Press is publishing my next book, a short story collection called Tales of the Weak & the Wounded.

To help promote preorders going up on the site on 14th February, they're running a social media contest where you can win a copy of the signed, numbered hardback edition.

Oh, and thanks to Caroline for introducing me to David Whitlam's work - he created the wonderful cover art.

Beautiful cover, very European in feel.

But the hand in the bottom right corner should have been raising a single finger. Just to add insult to injury.

Great cover!

I like the bird on the statue's head. And the banana peel in the walking-woundeds' direct path. Grim humor to be found herein, I presume....

Looking forward to this one. And, as I said on t'other thread, really pleased to see you (and Dark Regions Press) give David Whitlam a chance by using his artwork for the cover. He deserves it - a great artist!

This book is definitely on my "must buy" list ...

Well done, sir.

By "weak" and "wounded" I take it you mean those who were born what is deemed imperfect and those who life beat out of shape? I'm curious as to the differentiation as you see it in these stories.

Never seen it. But, in all seriousness, what does differentiate the weak from the wounded? Other than having a hard time of it.

Yes, Great cover and I caught the SESSION 9 reference.

Speaking of that excellent movie, did anyone catch this article on the former leper colony near Riker's Island in NY? The photos so evoked that movie (and also many of Ramsey's stories):

I'll be looking for your book, Gary!
