"Caroline, alas, we don't know the Devil's Chair!" Here's a picture of it! I think it's on the *south* side of the inner circle. It has a natural ledge inside which gives it its "chair shape". There are two bits of folklore associated with it: (1) on May Day, a maiden should sit in the chair and makes a wish - normally to do with finding a future husband or losing her virginity (or both!) (2) if you run round it anti-clockwise 100 times you'll summon the Devil (or suffer a coronary!) Anyway, here's a pic:  | ||
