I was in Tesco just now stocking up on essentials like more cider and junk food (perfect to complement my training schedule at the moment) when I wandered through the DVD aisle.

There I saw a new film called Ozombie - plotline of which went something along the lines of

A journalist believes Bin Laden is still alive despite the fact that the US army killed him and dropped him off an aircraft carrier. It turns out he's half right when the undead corpse of Osama walks out of the sea leading an undead army against the US military...

I think I might pass on that one.

The zombie genre really has eaten itself and shat out the remains if this is what we're reduced to!

Interesting as a propaganda piece though.

As long as it doesn't take itself too seriously, I'm all for it: I'm sure it will be hilarious. Although I haven't seen the trailer yet, so forgive me for presuming it so.

This one always looked like good fun to me: http://www.pressherald.com/life/go/stephen-king-inspires-creators-of-horror-spoo f-made-in-maine_2012-04-12.html

I just wonder what bad taste movie they're going to do next - how about "Saddam Has Risen From the Grave"?

Schindler's List 2 - Hell on Earth?

You could have a musclebound undead Hitler on the front cover —toting a belt-fed machine gun— trying to stop the six million Jewish undead, led by an equally undead Oskar Schindler, from trying to re-populate Eastern Europe. That would be close to the bone. And probably difficult to find funding for too.

I'm sure our muslim brothers will go out and buy it en masse. Just to retaliate, how about a prequel involving the dead in the airplanes that hit the WTC? Not to mention the thousands who died inside the towers or jumped off of them. Watch out, Osombie.

So it's not a comedy? Oh dear.

On the plus side, I think my Schindler's List 2 - Hell on Earth may have a chance, by the looks of things...

Good old Bruno! I'm inexpicably fond of his movies as well. They stink to high heaven but the world would be a much poorer place without them. 'Rats : Night Of Terror' (1983) is a particular favourite. Those Italians even do bad cinema better than anyone else!
