"The boisterous smell of a book which has been collecting mould in a waterlogged cellar for over half a century! Candid whiffs of bad drains, soggy carton and dust-covered stairs, combined with a foul soupcon of toadstool, plus our secret ingredient - the merest hearsay of organic decomposition. A booklover's delight!"

Alternately the delicious musty smell of a well looked after paperback taht provides as much pleasure as the words inside.
