Kevin certainly shouldn't be in that list. Nothing more than a poorly written horror novel with the most telegraphed and overused "twist" ending in the literary world.

The comments make for odd reading. Someone saying that Misery or gerald's game should be in the list. Good books but hardly close to the most disturbing ever writen.

The Girl Next Door, and Ketchum's lesser-read but equally brilliant novel Only Child (or Stranglehold in the US) are certainly as disturbing and as upsetting as anything I've ever read. And If you haven't read the former, seek out the HB copy with the superb Stephen King introduction.
It's a shitty, tacky and pretty pointless list though.
