The BBC listing for the show on Sunday 23rd September at 9pm: "A horror story writer attempts to scare the Dragons into investing, but doesn't quite get the reaction he expects; in fact it's a reaction never before seen in the Den." Maybe for once they don't behave like insecure Vogons with howling empty caves where their hearts should be? Just a thought. |

I always watch DRAGON's DEN. Pitching is my form of campanology. A Horror Writer tonight? Hmmm. |

Well, even funnier than the DD opening sequence was the sight of Peter Jones - a man born without an imagination - unable to understand every individual word in the phrase "interactive horror fiction". |

And they seemed to like his self-published dare/interactive horror fiction book he handed out, but they didn't give him any money! But he had already made £13,000 from a few hundred ouitlay, he claimed! |

You can read Kindle samples on Amazon. They could do with proofreading. On the other hand, some good folk are involved - Lavie Tidhar, for instance. I assume the story that amused Duncan Bannatyne was the one that Hannon claims was "banned in Italy". |

In my opionion that's a nasty and infantile post attacking a stroke recovery victim. |

a) Hilary Devey has give me the creeps since she started on Dragons Den. James Caan or whatever his name was had more feminine warmth than she does. b) I didn't know Grendel had had a stroke either (or Hilary if me and John are getting that the wrong way round) |

I wonder if folk here knew she *had* in fact had a stroke when posting that? I suspect not. I guess she's one of the "dragons", is she? I watched a little bit of it once and decided it wasn't for me. I suppose I should be into that kind of thing (and The Apprentice) being a business management tutor but I despise the kind of power struggle get-what-you-can-by-slapping-everyone-else-down mentality those kinds of shows portray. |

I had no idea about it. She's always given me the creeps though and comes across as a right old cow on the show. As she points out in the article ramsey linked to, she had a stroke just like millions of other people. She's clearly not looking for sympathy about it. Unlike millions of other people trying to cope after a stroke, she can afford her own personal skivvy to do the stuff she has problem with. That alleviates much of the sympathy i might have had. |

I met Duncan bannatyne once. Very briefly. He completely blanked my friend who tried to say hello to him. Very rude was Duncan. He didn't seem like a pleasant chappy at all. |
