Just a quick note to announce the release of my latest novella EMERGENCE (DarkFuse). The book is available as an e-book and costs only £2 / $3. A haunting supernatural excursion in the manner of Algernon Blackwood, here's a taster: Following the death of his wife, Jack lives alone on... the northeast coast of England. But this year, something worse than isolation and loneliness stalk the bay in front of his home. When his grandson Paul comes to stay, they find intricately crafted cones of sand jutting from the beach, and a tautness in the air affecting their sleep patterns. And then something else arrives...something that may want to trouble much more than their dreams. EMERGENCE...they're closer than we fear. The book can be downloaded... ...here in the UK: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Emergence-ebook/dp/B00BYFFQJU/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=136 3981643&sr=8-1 ...and here in the States: }http://www.amazon.com/Emergence-ebook/dp/B00BYFFQJU/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=13639 81527&sr=8-1&keywords=emergence+gary+fry |

And Mick doesn't even have a Kindle, so that's dedication for you! |

I don't have a Kindle, either, so I have no copy of my own book! |

Gary, you can read an e-book on a PC – there's a free downloadable Amazon widget that enables you to do that. Even if you don't read the text on screen you can still look at it, enjoy the typesetting and artwork, rub your hands and mutter "My precious". Not that I do anything like that, you understand. |

Ah, right. And it's come to this: taking technical advice from Joel Lane. I might as well just give up now. |

Alas, not, Lincoln. But my novel from the same publisher in July will be: Conjure House. |

Unless it's been updated since I had a go with it, the free downloadable widget Joel talks about isn't great. The text looks dog ugly and the setting of the book is often cruddy. But as my better half has a Kindle, I'm occasionally allowed a borrow, and I'll read Gary's book on that. The formatting's good, though the cover doesn't come out well on the Kindle grey-scale, but the text is nicely 'printed', unlike Joel's widget (make your own jokes up) version. I'll let Gary know how the book ends, as he won't know, not having a copy himself... |

Bruce Willis is a ghost, and if you spell Alucard's name backwards he was a woman all along. Or something. |
