I wish movie trailers would be less spoilery.

Just saw the trailer for the Carrie remake and they had clips in it from what have to be the last 10 minutes of the film.

If you want to see the new film and don't know the story, don't read any further.

Anyone watching the trailer, even if they've never seen the original or read the book, will know that she has an overbearing religious mother who locks her in a cupboard, that she first demonstrates her powers whilst being bullied in the showers, that she gets tricked into going to the prom, is chosen as quen of the prom and has a bucket of blood poured on her and goes on a rampage, at some point killing her mother with a flying knife or 4...

Almost no point in going to see the film (looks shit compared to the Brian De Palma version in any case).

I see the wicked glee now, that Tony must get, lurking around here. Picking up a thread that simply does not belong to me at all! Like this one. And adding my own scribbles to it. Like Dark Ages monks who tore up old Greek plays to scribble their dullish thoughts on Paul's Letters; like anyone would give af in later centuries - rather, we're all pissed that monk tore up that lost Greek play and didn't save it!

Weber's views are to be preserved for all time! Untrammeled by rough intrusive barbarians like myself!

I used to insult Weber in a friendly fashion back in the day. If he were here now, he's respond in kind.

Ha! I'd think. Good comeback!

Weber was a pretty good writer, too. Is he still writing? What's he up to?

I thought he wasn't very nice. He said he was glad once when this celebrity woman died once and it always felt cold to me. Pure internet.
But then I don't seem to think ANYBODY is very nice. I can't seem to read people at all.
