Okay, 99% of all weird/paranormal videos on the internet are either mushy cell phone footage of nothing at all, obvious fakes, or easily explainable mistakes made by over-eager believers. This one is genuinely freaky. At first, like the article said, I thought it was just some animal that looks odd due to the poor-quality CCTV footage. But I watched it over and over and the damn thing really does to look almost human. It even seems to be wearing trousers in some of the stills. Can humans even run like that, let alone well enough to leap barriers and dodge speeding cars? Anyone have any thoughts? http://paranormal.about.com/b/2013/10/10/video-bizarre-sprinting-creature.htm |

Nah. Don't buy it for a second. Some very clever film student doing some CGI magic, nothing more. Remember the Charlie Chaplin film with the "time traveller" entering frame from a few years back? http://youtu.be/TiIrpEMbQ2M Which spawned a whole subspecies of time-travelling cell phone users caught on old film, you'll see a bunch there. How do we know it's all fake?... Because they're actually using their cell phones to make phone calls—their heads are not bent over obsessively texting! |

Perhaps. It'll be interesting to see what more information comes out about the origin of the video. You'd think the car coming towards the camera at the end might brake or react, even if it was just a dog that ran across its headlights. Maybe it's a viral video for a previously secret Ancient Images movie. |

My theory is this: some intrepid prankster got the idea, and applied it "in post" (as they say) to a short clip of perfectly standard traffic surveillance tape he acquired from the web, a friend, etc. Though, I do wish I were more starry eyed, able more to believe such things to be... someday, I'm sure, some proof of something out there, will come to light. Just hopefully not a Lovecraftian "something." |

That's the problem though, it's impossible to truly believe anything like this because there's always the possibility of fraud, and of looking foolish when the fraud is eventually revealed. Even as someone inclined to believe in the supernatural it would take a huge amount of evidence and eyewitness testimony or direct personal experience to convince me any one particular event really happened. |

Oh, update on the comments there, it looks like you were right all along. Ah well, it was fun while it lasted "He uses the same model in a few of his other uploads, and the quality of his videos got better as he practiced." https://www.youtube.com/user/rmonsters?feature=watch |
