Although I have bought this book and will no doubt enjoy reading it, I shall not be real-time reviewing it, as it does not seem to include a story based in Clacton-on-Sea. :|

I hope I am doing justice to this book and that everyone likes the seaside photos I've decided to use to accompany my review. Only two stories yet to read... One by the great Christopher Harman.

Never in the fields of any seaside terror has there been such a day as yesterday - a smuggled message from ClactOnSea.

PS:
It seems that the BBC could have used one of my famous ClactOnSea skyline photos from my website as part of their political coverage!

I thought of you, Des, when I was watching this news on TV last night. The surroundings - especially the pier - all looked very familiar to me (from your pictures), even though I've never been to Clacton in my life! I was half expecting you to be one of the people they interviewed!

Giles Watling is the Tory candidate in the Election of Clacton. Seems apt he was in Bread during the Thatcher years.
Apparently I live in the particular small area of the Clacton constituency that is the crucial battleground.

The terror approaches. Some photos I took yesterday on the coast of Clacton where I live: http://nullimmortalis.wordpress.com/2014/09/21/clacton-all-at-sea-18-days-and-co unting-bombarding-the-coast-today/

Boris Johnson wields a brick and exhorts that:
"We shall fight them on the beaches of Clacton!"

Yesterday, David Cameron was in my area looking at the new fishtail groynes.
Also, the local council erased a new valuable graffiti artwork by Banksy near the pier because they thought it was racist but where Banksy claims it was ironic satire on UKIP!

I read about the Banksy thing. They could have removed that section of wall and sold it for a fortune, too! :-)

Thanks, David. Amazing loss of revenue for the local council!

This morning, Boris was attacking the beaches of Clacton again:

This gives a useful arguable summary of the Clacton Syndrome.

But Never Again!

One day to go - TV Dicksters harass Clactonites in the pouring rain.

I wonder what Joel would have said about this by-election!
