I like the last pic. One headstone leaning on another like its knackered by the drama of it all.

Cheers folks! It's a beautiful area - can't wait to go back to that 'cottage' too!

A dream come true! How much does hiring a cottage like that set one back?

My favourite picture has to be #20.

Not a very secret garden really, what with a bloody great signpost pointing at it.

A cottage like that must cost you hundreds of pounds.

Exactly the point of my photo! It was on a map too...

Hubert - it was a hefty £880 to rent for a week, but compared to the stuff we pay £400-£550 for via English Country Cottages (who we've been getting a bit peed off with, as amongst other concerns - cleanliness being one - their info is a bit misleading at times, such as "just a ten minute stroll into town" translating to a brisk thirty minute walk) it was a bargain.

Not a soul in any of those shots. Me thinks Mick might have just taken pictures of of those miniature towns they use as sets...

Actually the lack of people really excited me.

That's an interesting point - these are only a handful of the nearly 400 pictures I took, and there are people in some of the others (Debbie in a few, obviously!) and some places were quite busy, but I'd not realised there were no folk at all in these pictures. Hmmm...

It's almost spooky. Feels like a recently deserted town. Or maybe everyone is inside... dead.

About 1.5 miles away! How'd you guess? That first pub and the bridge are there, but none of the rest.

I saw the picture of the pub and googled for "The Horseshoe Inn Cotswolds". Found the pub quite easily and then did some further exploration with Google Earth. A very nice area, I may go there myself sometime.
