I've not tried posting images here before, so I hope this works!
Our village has had a "Wacky Scarecrow Walk" today as part of its entry for the Britain in Bloom contest. I thought you folks might like to see some of the scarecrows created by local businesses and groups.
Scarecrows freak me out a little (I'm reminded of a Mark Morris short story about a motorist being chased by a malevolent scarecrow, but I can't recall the name of it). See what you think of these (if it works):
