Welcome to the Stamping Ground Art Stamps Website!

All day Marathons

The next monthly all day event will be at Trudoxhill in June 25th, and will run from 10.00am to 4.30pm.  You can come for one or other or both workshops, or you can come to trawl through the catalogues, shop for new stock (and some old favourites) while you have a coffee and catch up with friends!

AM workshop will be on a Lucky Dip theme - 5 cards, and then the PM one will be 'Strange shaped cards' - 5 cards again.

Stamping Around Stamp Club

Our venue is going to be Beckington Village Hall, on the outskirts of Frome.  A lovely hall, great facilities, lots of parking and simple to find see map page or ring me for directions).  Starting at 7pm and finishing at 9.45pm.  There will be an informal workshop activity (cost around £5.00), new stock to peruse and to buy, catalogues to browse through and order from and friends to meet!  Tea and buns (or more probably biscuits given my lack of baking skills) will be available through the evening, so come along and catch up with news, bring your own projects to show off and share, and admire others!

Dates are booked through to Christmas, those listed below take us through the Summer:

May 11th
June 8th
July 13th (change of timing for this month only)
August 10th
September 14th

I'm Amanda, and I know you'll enjoy looking around and that you'll find something to interest you, inspire you, make you smile (or even laugh), and much else besides. At the moment the site is undergoing a lot of changes and additions so you'll need to keep coming back to check on what's going on.

In between times keep sending into the Gallery Pages, and please send any comments , suggestions and ideas that you have..... all welcome.....!

Stamp Club News ; The consensus is that Stamp Club should be held once a month, rather than twice. This will give me more time to gather new goods for sale, and prepare some good workshop activities, and gives you time to save up! Consequently the first stated date of each month will stand, times to remain the same, 7pm to 9.30pm.

I hope to see lots of you very soon,

Amanda

Around the middle of June I'll be launching a web workshop feature. This will be a papercraft project, simply one that takes a little more time than the average card. All the details of how to access this and details of the project itself will follow as soon as is appropriate. Project kits will appear at around the same time! These will accompany a project presented on a special monthly page, and will have everything you need to make the featured card or item plus some extra ideas for the stamp not available on the website!

This is your chance to set yourself a personal challenge, and pick up some ideas from everyone else too ! Every few weeks there will be a different theme set for the Gallery Challenge. Take the idea, do whatever you want with it, and send it in to us for publication on the new gallery page. No more than three cards per person please, and nothing larger than 6"x4" so we can fit them all on.

The first Challenge theme is : 'Floral with a Twist'

We all have several floral stamps lurking somewhere, so let's see some new slants on the classic image - perhaps in a monotone colourway, or a complete colour turnaround with green petals and pink leaves, a minimal approach, or a total explosion of colour right up to the edge! The choice is yours..... all cards will appear on the Gallery Challenge page so do please include the stamp/paper etc credit, and your name & email address. Cards for this first theme to come in up to the end of May please. Watch the page for yours to appear !

To see your work in cyberspace you can either Email or post it.

Scan and send as an Email attachment by following this link

Post to The Stamping Ground Art Stamps Gallery, PO Box 3456, Mells, Somerset BA11 3YB.
