At the moment at Tesco - Tesco Finest Spaghetti Bolognaise is £2.43 each or 2 for £5.
Now I know I only have 2 a'levels in maths, but I think there's something subtly wrong with that as a special offer... |

Whenever I return home I am mesmerized by the sheer amount of 'special offers', just as I am mesmerized by Cops With Cameras or Sky's Top Ten Worst Weddings. Poland has become expensive with food and products generally, whereas Britain seems to have come down in prices in some areas. Boring, I know, but good for me whenever I want to reminisce about Britain, hence a jumbo-sized packet of Nik Naks, or Tetley teabags. |

The hard winter hasn't been good for growers in Poland. My in-law's tomato crop are tiny this year and at the weekend a massive hail storm destroyed 90% of the greenhouses. |

Notwithstanding the amusing pseudo promotion, bolognaise - or "ragu" as the italians call it - is definitely something you should make from scratch ! |
