At the risk of sounding like I'm bragging, though in reality I just want to share good news with pals, I'm very chuffed to learn this morning that my proposed Dr Who novel, HUNTER'S MOON, has been commissioned by BBC Books. Can't give any details out yet, but obviously if folk are interested, I'll be posting more on my blog/webpage in due course. |

Excellent news, Paul, into TV cultural history you emerge. May it continue. Well done, pal. |

Paul, I love you! Well, not literally of course, but in the same way that I love ALL Doctor Who authors. I'm also dead jealous too, of course! Seriously, very well done. You must be over the moon (I know I would be if it was me). |

Dear Paul. Unlike Carolinec, I do actually love you. Seriously, this is really great news. It's like a member of the family coming good. Regards Terry |

Well done, Paul! And on the same day we picked up your Tomes of the Dead book that I'm looking forward immensely to reading (and not just because it's set in Wales ;->) |

Thanks again everyone. JLP - glad you've picked up STRONGHOLD. The Welsh come out of it pretty well, those that are left ... Heh hehehehe |

Paul, I was pleasantly surprised to find my local WH Smith had Stronghold on the shelf. Christ, they only seem to stock cookbooks and celebrity biographies - the fiction section has King, Meyer, Rowling, Grisham. And you. I've never seen any other Abaddon books in there. |

Steve ... I think Jon mentioned to me that this is the first title they've sold to WHSmiths, though I could be mistaken on that. It's certainly one of the first. |

Imagine me dancing about naked and waving a large amount of wine in loose jugs. [bonus points if someone can sort the musical theatre reference in there] |

Joel: well done! However, that's a folk song about a Quebecois escaping after the Plains of Abraham (where the French were soundly thrashed). Folk song, win; musical theatre, fail. The Music Man is the correct answer, and is the Mayor's wife's summary of The Rubiat of Omar Khiam. |
