Just remembered that Bradford International Film Festival is on later this month, and there's some interesing genre stuff going on (mainly at the National Media Museum, but also at a few outlying places too).

They're having a Terry Gilliam retrospective and I've just booked to see his on-stage interview. You never know, I might even get his signature on my Life of Brian video, next to Michael Palin and Terry Jones.

I'm hoping to go to a few Gilliam films too, but depends on timing and how much money I have left.

Also, for fans of the classic film The Haunting, Claire Bloom is receiving a lifetime achievement award and being interviewed there too - I'm booked for film and interview!

And then there's a showing of the original John Barrymore version of Jekyll and Hyde, complete with live accompaniment on the Wurlitzer cinema organ. Nice.

Hope someone's interested in these things - worth taking a look:

You can try get Cleese's signature, too, in Leeds in June!

I might see you at the signing. I've booked, too.

For Terry Gilliam, you mean? I know you said you had a ticket for the Cleese show later this year too.

Well, I've been/still am enjoying the genre offerings as part of Bradford International Film Festival. I haven't managed to get to as many things as I'd have liked, but I did get to the Terry Gilliam interview on Saturday - excellent - and managed to add his signature to my "Life of Brian" video cover too!

They showed "Time Bandits" - not one of my favourites but good fun anyway. I hope to get to see "Imaginarium .." tomorrow - haven't seen that yet and it looks interesting.

Oh, they also showed one of his early animated shorts - "The Miracle of Flight" (very Pythonesque) - and another short which I missed as I was chasing him for his autograph before he left the building at that point!

And then for something completely different, on Friday I'll be seeing the classic "The Haunting" on the big screen (great - just the way it was intended!) followed by an on-stage interview with Claire Bloom. Looking forward to it.

It looks like no-one else here has been going to any of this ...?
