The cover claims this to be the most explosive book of the twentieth century. That's why I keep my copy in a lead lined box in a small bunker in my back yard.

I found my copy for 50p in an antique/junk shop on the Isle of Man about five years ago. I've never managed to read more than a page without laughing out loud.

If he really does believe even one word of this rubbish, he's got problems. It makes the scientologists sound reasonable.

I spent all last year taking the piss out of people who are into this. Let's just say I'm banned from several websites.

Except buy it in the Ash-Tree Press edition, which has a much better cover illustration.

It's actually quite a fun book; Kerruish is a good writer and keeps the action moving, and the supernatural elements are well handled.

Come to think of it if you can't see jpegs (What?)
Then you probably won't see them anyway. So now I'll have to change them to bitmaps and post them again.

Forget it. They are just stupid looking covers.

It was the sites they were linked to were banned by my work interweb filters. I can see them now and they're brilliant. I want them - especially the bat creature. that looks like a lovely pet. I'd keep it in the attic and feed it on chavs.

You'd have to lure them in with a crack snake. That's the only way they'll take it now. By eating a snake full of crack.

You could get a few old school chavs up there with mention of a smack piano. You know, they used to love nothing more than liquid skank poured into an upright joanna, bashing out "my old man" junk flying everywhere.

That Tadem Horror 3 cover brings back memories - I bought that in Woolies when I was a kid!

If you want to see covers like those, try the Vault of Evil forum - their speciality is in posting about books like that (reviews, covers).

In fact, the "gloomysundae" guy Albie linked to above is the guy who runs Vault of Evil.

As for Albie, I wonder what became of him ...?

Albie dropped out of this forum after some political arguments. He was saying that single mothers should be sterilised to reduce the crime rate, and that trade unions were to blame for working-class crime. When several RCMB members told him he wasn't making sense, he declared he was being persecuted and quit the forum.
