GCW you missed a book. Hunt down "Methods of Confinement". It reminded me of The Doll Who Ate Its Mother (that's the one with Declann, right?)

Yeah. Just before Maginn vanished. It wasn't with Corgi that time but St Martin's Press. It's about a couple who take in a slightly-nutty nutter and the problems ensue from there. Not supernatural if I recall, but still a thrill.

His piece in Feral Companions is very good as well. Highly recommended.

Yeah, the last scene of his Feral novella has really stuck with me. Great tail . . . er, tale.

Congratulations, Gary. I've never read Simon Maginn but I've heard nothing but great things about his work.

And that cover? Astonishing. I'm drooling as I type this. Is that flattering or simply too much information?

Super Gary. So, is this one novella from you and one from Simon Maginn (who, I must admit, I'd never heard of before), both on the theme of rats?

I love the cover BTW, It looks really traditional 1982 horror (star) paperback what with the font et al..

A lot of horror books can look a little samey at times, so it's nice to see.

That's exactly the vibe Chris Teague was after when he commissioned the artwork. Well spotted. A pickled egg to you.

Great cover. Love the 'distressed' font in particular.
