Sorry for the pimpage, but if you'd like to see the rather great TTA Press continue their recently launched pocket-sized novelette venture, all you have to do is buy the first one and make it a success.

Yes, the first one happens to be by me - it's called THE HARM, and is getting great reviews.

Cheers, folks.

Well done, Gary. I love the novella form; glad to see more getting published.

If this one doesn't do well, there might not be any more from TTA Press.

Cheers though, Chris.

I bought this at Brighton. Not read it yet, but I overheard several publishers in the dealer room admiring the format. I hope it does well enough continue the series. And edge Gary toward world domination.

I started mine this lunchtime and am halfway through Roarke's story. Very dark, very complicated and quite unsettling - nice work, Gary!

I wasn't keen (damn you, McMahon, slow down!) and to see how much I didn't like it, my review is here - http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/8076673.

Thanks, Mark...I was expecting a bad review from your words above!

You little tinker.

And I have slowed down, mate. No fibs. Unfortunately.

THE HARM was actually written a couple of years ago, and had been sitting on my hard drive until I sent it to Andy Cox at TTA.

Sorry, Gary, I did think that after the fact. Rest assured, I thought it was superb - very, very dark, but superbly well done.

As for slowing down - that's not a good sign, how far along are you with Mr Usher?

I'm now 47,500 words into the second book. I have three months before I have to hand it in to the publisher, so no worries. It's fighting back, this one. The first Usher novel came out easily, but this one is digging its heels. Nature of the beast, though: it's a complex piece.
