Somewhat impertinently, I would like to plug this forthcoming anthology...
http://www.pjfarmer.com/forth.htm

It contains never-before-published work by PJF himself. I have also blogged about it, here:

Any other Farmer fans out there?

I have more than 50 of his books at home. They range from the fantastically good, to the almost unreadable. He had some brilliant ideas and the story Mother in the Strange Relations collection is still one of my favourite ever short stories.

'Mother' is one of my favourites too! I thought it was easily the best story in Strange Relations, an almost perfectly plotted story!

I agree that PJF was an ideas man, and sometimes his ideas were better than the stories that contain them, but better that way round than vice versa!

It's been a long time since I read him, a long time, almost when 'space dust' was the rage at school. I'll check this out.

Please tell me the stone spiral staircase is but just one feature of your garden, and that it is indeed your garden....

It's rather cheap for such a spendid collection. Do they ship into Central Europe?

I agree that The Worlds of Philip Jose Farmer is much more reasonably priced than might be expected of a limited edition. I have absolutely no idea why this should be.

Alas no, the staircase doesn't belong to me. Few things do, in fact!

I read the Riverworld books in my teens and loved his freewheeling sense of invention as the workings of that insane afterlife were gradually revealed. I often wonder how they would read now?

The World of Tiers is probably my favourite Farmer creation. This amazing series apparently contains six novels (I thought it was only five). Mindbending stuff indeed...

There are 7 novels related to the World of tiers series. there's the 5 that were written close together - number 6 - More than Fire - was written several years later and there's also a book called Red Orc's Rage which ties into the series in quite a bizarre way going by the plot description.

The long awaited tribute volume to the great Philip José Farmer is now available. THE WORLDS OF PHILIP JOSÉ FARMER 1: PROTEAN DIMENSIONS has just been published. It can be ordered here:
http://www.pjfarmer.com/forth.htm

This is a limited edition volume that contains unpublished work by Farmer, as well as a host of stories and articles by other writers. My own story 'The Pollinators' is included. Only 500 copies exist; and approx 400 of those were pre-orders. Which means that there's only about 100 left...

Yes only ONE HUNDRED left in TODO MUNDO!

Here's a photo of it if you really need to see one:

Did you really, Ramsey? Cor!
Do you remember what it was called or anything about it?
I'll be the first to admit that not everything that PJF wrote was perfect. Sometimes his ideas were far better than his prose.
Nonetheless he's one of my favourite SF writers of all time...
