Only if you can do the evil laugh and the grimace while sentencing a minion to a painful death. |

Does your villain have to be MALE, Rhys? If so, is that sexist? I've always fancied myself as a bit of a villain. |

I'll be a foreign villain. Way more dangerous . . . By the by, do you intend to use our real names? |

I reckon a *female* villain is the most dangerous of the lot, Hubert! |

Caroline: my villain certainly doesn't have to be male. There are female names in my hat already. Sometimes when I write stories I leave the gender of the characters undefined and then throw a coin at the end to determine whether each one will be male or female (and rewrite the piece accordingly)... I may also start doing this with colour, sexuality, etc. So if you want to be a villain, consider your name in the hat! I'll need to know your surname though, otherwise I'll have to include you simply as "Caroline Des Defender"! Adriana: ironic villains are the best. Irony is essential to healthy prose. Irony deficiency is a terrible thing and causes anaemic fiction! |

That sounds pretty good to me! Actually, I'll email you my maiden name via the email address you give in your blog. If I'm lucky enough to become your villain, I think I'd like my maiden name preserved for posterity. |

You got lucky there - that's such a cool name for a villain. |

All the names picked are perfect, aren't they? But I'm just a tad disappointed I'm not going to be a fictional villain. Seriously, if anyone of you there writers would like to do something horrible to me in a work of fiction, I'd be absolutely delighted. I've always wanted to be a character in a work of horror or weird fiction. |

I'll definitely use as a character in that case, Caroline, but in a different work. Probably in a novel called The Young Dictator that I'm working on. |

Ooo, right. Just responded to your "mass Tuckerisation project" post and said "yes" to that, but if you reckon my name would be better for "The Young Dictator" then please use me in that one instead. Lovely! |
