 I've just received this brilliant cover mock-up from my publisher, Angry Robot. The image is a staged reproduction of an old Victorian photograph I found online, and which inspired the whole novel. Oooo, I like that, Zed! I think it's in the film "The Others" (not the one based on the Thomas Tryon book, but the one starring Nicole Kidman based in Jersey in wartime) where they feature one of those old Victorian photos. Apparently they used to take photos of people after they'd died or something like that. But I'm sure you knew that anyway! Good luck with the book - looks excellent.  | ||

But . . . this cover doesn't reflect the content of the book, which is all about roses and romance and amusing misunderstandings and witty priests and a cantankerous boss and a winning heroine and intertextual references to Jane Austen and an hilarious cameo from Ben Stiller.
