I got a missive in my junk inbox today from nicoletta paccionne I saw your little "review" on my book via amazon.com. I am sick and tired of your bullshit. So I fixed the issue with the name but I did something -- gave a PSA on there telling the industry that your're impossible to work with a whiny little manbitch who likes to pick fights with the people who already paid you for your work. I have punishments for so called people like you, and I give some contributors who been around for a long time horror targets to play with. You just became our little horror plaything for a long time to go and this is the same rule that applies to my ex--room mate. You cost me sales of my own book you little prick. And going with the rival publisher who is nothing but a cunt who likes to do one cent donations. The others know they got published in the magazine upon being in the mag -- I spoke with the one via my vampirefreaks.com e-mail address. I have two PSAs about you not to work with you. So next time watch who you do a malicious review of and calling me out of name. I see you in the light I see Ray Garton, and Garton I want to pound on for ruining sales of my work. I didn't steal my GAME OVER from his because I didn't know his existed. So why don't you go suck off Ray Garton if you like him so much. When they see the dedication in Dirty Black Winter -- they will know that you're a whiny manbitch. ------------------------------- The email was titled Listen asshole So this is my PSA - which I assume stands for Public service announcement rather than Prostate Specific Antigen - Do not ever have dealings with Nickolauss pacionne (Misspelling deliberate so as not to attract him here). He's a seedy little troll with serious anger issues. All I ever did was ask him to fix the spelling of my name in the TOC of his magazine and then asked him why it had different titles on the front and back covers... He then started an online hate thing about me so I posted an honest review of his work on Amazon. At least I've not had any paypal invoices this time. Although I think that's only because he's been banned from paypal. |

Poppy Z used to suffer from him, Marc, or more correctly he would have liked her to and was maddened when she refrained from responding. |

Apparently all you need to do to get the lead spot in his next magazine is to kill me horribly in a story... This was his latest missive to my junk box - an email entitled "I fixed it against my better judgmetn". But I did a little PSA after the TOC and before the story. You should have never maliciouslyreviewed my first book. A little word of advice next time you send to a publlisher, don't pick a fight with them on a message board. And I am also going to have little punishment too meaning every future contributor on The Ethreal Gazette can use you as a horror target in a story. If they kill you off in a story they get the lead spot, and in the second quakes and storms I am going to really have some fun with you and the whore you call a publisher now because she can't come up with her own titles for anthologies so she stole mine. For the record I had no idea about that fat fuck Garton's novel GAME OVER -- don't mention him around me again. I plan to beat the shit out of him for threatening to have me institutionalized. Enjoy infamy and being fodder for any contributor on Lake Fossil Press -- those writers you claim had no idea they were accepted. I told the one via my vampirefreaks email address he was part of the issue. So I caugth you in a lie. Oh I am going to have some fun with you Marc, enjoy being punished. You get a punishment as bad as Boyer's and in my eyes you're the president of the David Boyer fan club. |

It's no exaggeration to say that the internet has destroyed my interest in horror fandom. It's like picking up a flat stone and seeing what is creeping and writhing underneath. |

I'm tempted to add that with The Grin of the Dark, our landlord succeeded in thematising the toxic waste that is the internet as subject matter for horror fiction. But in truth, pale and slimy things with too many appendages have always featured in his work – the online fen are just a recent example. |

Joel- the nutcases and wankers have always been there. Most writers are basketcases to one extent or another; the balance has always been about channelling the madness constructively. Like into the work of writing, which is what is ultimately important. People who, pre-internet, would have been confined to writing their rants on walls in their own faeces (like the gentleman above- no, not you, Weber) or just plain confined, now have a forum. It's unpleasant, but all it's done is make visible something that's already there. That said, online forums (fora?) make it possible to act like a prize arsehole in a consequence-free environment. (Sort of consequence-free, anyway. There's at least one writer whose work I will never buy again- I refuse, on principle, to put money in his pocket if I can help it- after he showed himself online to be a cowardly, dishonest, unprincipled, spiteful, mean-spirited, blackmailing, vicious bastard, so acting like a prick online can ultimately have a negative comeback on your career, but only if you had the talent to have one, which Nicky boy above apparently doesn't.) It encourages certain kinds of behaviour. But it only amplifies the noise. The good people are still out there, and I think they still constitute the majority. |

I think we're all overlooking the most important thing here. A guaranteed lead spot in the next issue if we kill Weber off in a story! I'll get me pen! |

Remember to use my real name Jamie. I'm going to send him a story myself where I die horribly and demand the lead slot... That'll confuse the fuck out of him |

If we all send him stories where you die, what will he do? Can we all get the lead slot at the same time? But surely we could use the Z-for-L substituted version of your name? |

Simon's right. They've always been there. Oozing amongst us. Occasionally one is too idealistic and tries to see through the ooze to the good that must be there. Sometimes it IS there. But if your true colour is slime, it's not long before it shows itself again. They're like giant damaged toddlers with tentacles. |

Weber...sorry to see you are getting all that crap! 'It's no exaggeration to say that the internet has destroyed my interest in horror fandom. It's like picking up a flat stone and seeing what is creeping and writhing underneath.' Couldn't agree more with that and many of the comments. |

I'm finding it quite funny to be honest. I'll start writing the story of my horrific demise tonight. Most of the chaps and chapesses over at Russtyy Nale (mispelling deliberate)are sending him stories of my death as well - and everyone demanding the lead spot... I almost feel sorry for Nicky sometimes. |
