Did I hear correctly what the head of the doctors just said on the news on TV? That they are annoyed about changes to their pension scheme, a scheme which they had previously agreed with the governmant as "future proof". That is an intersesting concept. | ||

It's not an uncommon piece of corporate speak these days. Ordinarily it's used to suggest functionality etc which may not be essential at the moment, but will make it easier to incorporate new developments in the future (e.g. coding a website to take advantage of new settings in a new browser release). Although, like most bits of corporate-speak, its meaning tends to depend on who's using it. | ||

To consider something can be future proof, ie. in the same sense that something can be water proof, seems the ultimate in human fallibility. The massive carousel of the Last Encounter: also reminds me of the LHC. And the pre-shaping of the Devil’s Tower simply the first real-time review. | ||
