I passed by the main local cinema last night, and decided to stop and see if there were any decent films coming up over Halloween. One film poster that stood out was for a Japanese film called Turtles are Surprisingly Fast Swimmers (Kame wa Igai to Hayaku Oyogu). Odd title, but it looks pretty good! I looked around online a bit to find out what it's about, and it's getting a lot of good reviews, such as this one: http://www.nipponcinema.com/db/review/turtles_are_surprisingly_fast_swimmers/ Turtles Are Surprisingly Fast Swimmers (2005) review - Nippon Cinema Anyone seen it? |

Looks interesting. Great that a cinema should put on something different! |

Hey, my thread is alive! I was beginning to think I'd turned into a leper. ;-) I'll let you guys know what I thought of the film when I see it. I like the idea, and the Japanese (and Koreans, for that matter) usually do this kind of thing very well. |

I loved THE PILLOW FIEND! So, not only is Lisa Turtles a great writer but also a great swimmer? Is there nothing she can't do? what? |
