For the last hour I've had the "High on a hill lived a lonely goatherd" song from sound of music running through my head on a continuous loop and I can't get rid of it.

I hate this - other folk call it a worm. I'd love to say my current one is by Dylan or Hendrix or Coltrane, but it's actually Elton John's "Grey Seal". God, it won't go away!

Not really! Mine's now changed to Jonathan Richman's I'M STRAIGHT, which is fine as that's a nice little track.

I had "The Boy With the Thorn in His Side" fora couple of weeks. Drove me crazier than usual. I nearly always have a song stuck in me, so to speak, but it usually varies. I guess, as Glen Campbell's on Radio 2 form 7-30 this evening with the BBC Orchestra, it'll be one of his next.

Te-he-ell me, grey seal.

(Sorry, Mick.)

Everyone - you will start mind-chanting "Hooray for Santy Claus!" from SANTA CLAUS CONQUERS THE MARTIANS - for the rest of the year. "S-A-N-T-A, C-L-A-U-S..."

Keith West's "Excerpt from a Teenage Opera", anyone? Those horns at the end do me in every time I hear the song. Corny, I know.
