I've just ordered The Omen Pentalogy. £6. Should I have? |

Worth it for the first three. You should be asking for discount to take number 4 off their hands and we already discussed how pointless the remake was on another thread. |

But I quite enjoyed the remake! To a point, anyway. |

Believe me, unless your standards are lower than a snake in a coal mine on downers, you will not like number 4. Delia instead of Damien. Numerous contradictions to the previous films, badly written, acted and directed. Ninety minutes of my life I wish I could have back. |

I did hear it was funny at least... It's funny, but when I hear a bad film is coming I rub my hands with glee and look forward to it more than the good ones... |

I bought the same set for a similar price a while back, Tony - good value although as Weber says no 4 (at least) & the remake are a waste of time. |

I bought the boxset when it was just a trilogy. Love all three. |

I really liked the third. I thought it was quite exhilarating in places, and Sam Neil gives his best performance. (um, scroll down the page in that link to see what I meant... It is her, isn't it?) |

Worth it for the first 3 films, I reckon. For some reason, I absolutely love Damien: Omen II. It's a neglected classic. And The Final Conflict contains one of the best shotgun suicides ever filmed. |

Zed! Look at the Adriana-alike in that link! And to make it extra freaky and Omen-y the actress was born in Toronto in 1981!!!! |

Once again Zed you are spot on - I absolutely love Damien Omen II as well - completely different to the first one, which had a pretty good atmosphere of dread throughout - part II is almost gleeful in it set ups and executions. Here's a frozen pond and some children and old people and there's a big black crow. Oh no - guess what might be going to happen next! Here's a rail yard and lots of trucks and trains shown being heavily banged into one another. Oh, and here's another character who's found out just a bit too much - guess what's going to happen to him? God it's terrific fun. And the ending where William Holden gets it is brilliantly entertainingly downbeat. When they showed them for the first time in TV when I was a kid Part II was the one everyone was talking about the day after. |

Ha! Omen iv is exactly like an episode of Murder She Wrote, right down to the jaunty music and photography. And that nun! 'The cloud has washed all the colour from the day. It looks like a black and white photograph.' Hang on - Angela Lansbury's just popped up. Oh... |
