From my cat

mouse

This is the affectionate soul that gave mee the lovely gift

cat

I know it is a form of affection, but it's vile.

Slightly better than the time he brought one in the house and sat next to me crunching his way through it and left one half of it next to my chair - all the time while I'm trying to eat my tea.

I've only met one person who knew where the name came from. I normally get blank looks when I tell them his name. But one day, when I took him to the vets, she asked if he was likely to sprout wings and burst into flames when I opened his cage.

I said he hadn't done yet...

An ex-girlfriend and I owned a cat together - he was a sleek animal, sort of buttery white, with searing blue eyes. So we named him after an American canola-oil spread, called "I Can't Believe It's Not Butter," anacronym-izing it "Icbin" for short. We would take him to the vet, and they could never get his name right: they called this strapping little white blue-eyed cat "Eichmann." No one seemed to bat an eye at that, either....

Since we're sharing.

A great-looking animal, fierce and fearless! My cat used to drop dead bits into my bed, that is between the sheets, and then sort of look disapprovingly at how I disposed of such good food.
