Is there an exorcist in the house? I have a ghost in my machine. Or at least my mouse. One day it just froze, refusing to move in any direction except along a horizontal line no matter how madly I scrolled it round the desktop. (I had a witness for that event too. Unless he was only humouring me and didn't actually believe me.) Now I have a new mouse (and a newly reinstalled OS) and this morning I watched the cursor glide slowly across the screen from right to left - with my hand nowhere near the mouse! I was reading the thread about The Owl Service when it happened. Are the owls perhaps not what they seem? I WAS watching Twin Peaks last night. And I had a freaky nightmare this morning about a mouse-sized insectoid porcupine creature that was slowly firing its quills into the backs of my hands until they were completely covered. The folded towel I was holding up as a shield had no effect. Oh god, it just did it again! Did you see that? | ||

Mine has done that! It's like when you get remote computer help and some Indian or chinese guy uses your mouse from the other side of the world. It's so freaky. | ||
