I need a pianist for a session...

Who has a piano and fancies playing on a song for my new album?

Lord P?

I'm serious!

GCW - I'd love to but my weekends are a bit booked up for a while. Plus I have to go to South America in February to check on the plantations.

I sprained a finger a while back, and asked the doctor if I'd ever be able to play the piano again - he said no. It's sad, because even though I never could play the piano, I might have been able to help you out.

But he was a strange doctor anyway. My arm would hurt when I lifted it, so I told him my arm hurt when I did this. All he told me, was then don't do that. Then I asked him if I swallowed a watermelon seed, if a watermelon would grow in my stomach, and he got mad and said he was a doctor, not a farmer. I've not been back since.

Re: doctors

But that I am forbid to tell the secrets of my prison-house,
I could a tale unfold whose lightest word would harrow up thy soul, freeze thy young blood...

GCW, is the music written down somewhere? I'm shit-hot at sight-reading, but can't recreate what I hear to save my life.

"...Have you tried Band in a Box, gcw?"

I'll try anything once Hubert! - I will check it out.

Gary F.. the song is a pretty simple chord progression in the key of A..It would sound great as a vocal, acoustic guitar & piano piece.

As for written down...No Gary, I can't read or write music (but I can drive a Traaaarc-ter!)

On the guitar....

Verse - A, E, G, D, A, E, D & Repeat (Chords are played as 'box-shapes' with the open A string running throughout - A La Pete Townsend, ballad style!)

Chorus - Very simple A/D Change.

Song is called 'Father Becomes The Child'. i'd be happy to record a demo if anyone's up for a crack at the piano part.

Cheers!

gcw

Doesn't look too complicated . . . I think you might want to try the aforementioned BiaB. I got my cd free from a friend, there must be free copies around on your side as well. Hundreds of styles to choose from, and you can even concoct your own. Composition is easy and you can convert the end result to an mp3!
