Hey Karim - just seen your MySpace page - you've done work for Anders Trentemøller? Is that the Trentemøller of Last Resort fame? That's a great album - I have both the CD and the vinyl versions!

Can you talk him into playing the UK at some point?
I only got to know of his stuff when a hifi dealer I visit said "here, have a listen to this!" back in the summer.

...the same dealer always costs me more than the price of any kit I buy, as he's so enthusiastic about music that he'll sit me down for a couple of hours, with a regularly refreshed coffee cup and play me some of the stuff he's bought since my last visit, so I usually end up walking out of the shop with a bit of paper with lots of albums and artist's names scribbled on it!

It's odd, but I always find talking about music tricky. I like it very much but knowing what to say about it other than 'this is good' is beyond me.
For instance I've just downloaded an ep by these Swedish girls (15 and 18) on the strength of a cover of Fleet Foxes that they did, and it's...ok. they have good taste and can play, and make all the right noises, but something ain't sitting right.
Fleet Foxes are 'great', though.

'Can you talk him into playing the UK at some point?'

We played Glastonbury last year, with a full band. I think Anders regularly does his DJ set now if you are going to catch him somewhere near you. But it won't be with the live band from Last Resort. The next album maybe!

Tony you mean First Aid Kit- not Taxi-Taxi who are also on the efterklang label?

That's them. They'll get better. And for what it's worth they're very cute.

I love talking about music, me - almost as much as I like listening to it. Trouble is I know less than I think I know most of the time!

I can sort of talk about it - I just don't know what to say without sounding daft! It's like talking about gulps of air.

Mick I think he's doing his DJ set so I won't be out on tour. Actually I don't know if he's taking any visuals along. He toured that show all of last year. And I try not to do the same thing, also working with different artists across different genres of music...

There is one crazy clip here of some of that show- you can't see the visuals but I guess you can get an impression of the setup.
