I find it staggering that Ramsey went so long without a mass market publisher in the UK, after the dark days following the horror implosion, given the high standard he maintained throughout.
His return is excellent news. Good on you, Virgin.

It's a good book - but as I said in my reviews post, I found it a bit uneven plot wise....Just didn't seemed to hang together entirely satisfactorily.

It got through on the prose rather than the plot.

Hey! They've given him an Asda-friendly cover!
That IS scary...

Be great to see Ramsey's books on an Asda shelf!

I like the cover too.

The cover/title combination could catapult him into the realms of Kay Hooper and Heather "Not the Actress" Graham!

I'm nodding, but I've not a clue what you're talking about, Jamie!

You see - again, and sorry! - I'm not keen on the cover but know it needs doing that way. It just matters that folk read Ramsey.

Mark,

Kay Hooper is the author of such titles as Touching Evil and Stealing Shadows -- lots of gerunds and spooky nouns, like Ramsey's "Thieving Fear". I tried one of her books and gave it away after a couple of pages. Heather Graham is another romantic suspense author, although her titles are less given to the structure that brought Kay Hooper to my mind.

Both authors are prone to having the sorts of covers Ramsey's book got up top.

Ahh! Cheers, Jamie.

Must be me. I like most books' new covers.

Does anyone have a copy of the wonderful Penguin paperback covers, when the designs used to be monochrome in green and blue, etc? They issued a wonderful book with the covers in and nothing more. Too expensive for me, but I browse through it in bookshops when i come across it.
