I vote the "new member announcement" is retired, considering how few actually participate. Let the new people announce themselves. At least then we have a person to talk to for a few days before they scuttle off back to wherever it is they come from. The pattern is the same: "Welcome welcome welcome" and there's never a response. It's like meeting your mom's new boyfriend: half her age, a third her smarts. You know he'll be gone in a month, so why bother making nice? | ||
