My name is pronounced like the word 'hew' but in Welsh the 'u' is more of an 'i' sound. If you start saying 'hill' but instead of pronouncing the 'l's, add a short 'u' sound, that's pretty close. It's hard to explain... but most people I know (outside Wales) just pronounce it like the English Hugh.
