This is a dream pairing of directors for a horror movie. God knows what kind of dark depraved masterpiece this has the chance of becoming. Check out the link. http://uk.movies.yahoo.com/06022009/5/herzog-david-lynch-horror-movie-0.html |

Hmm. I love Lynch, but not Herzog. I found Grizzly Man to be morally questionable. It made me wonder if there was a kernel of validity in Kinski's spittle-flecked accusations that Herzog cared more about film than the lives of other creatures. |

"I found Grizzly Man to be morally questionable." How so? I'm familiar with the horrible incident, but haven't seen the film.... |

He used an obviously mentally-unstable man to represent the side of those who hold views that oppose his own (i.e., that nature is red in tooth nnd claw). I suppose he and Terrence Malick are antipodal on this one. |

I watched The Enigma of Kaspar Hauser the other night, and I loved it. The real life story behind the film is equally as bizarre. It's been a story that has fascinated me for years. |

Ah. Having lived in the AK wilderness for many years, I don't need Herzog to convince me that playing with wild animals = playing with fire. |

Werner Herzog: "I always wanted to make a horror film, but not with bloody axes and chain-saws. An anonymous fear should rather creep up at you." Uuuumm...I'm quite sure you did, Werner, some thirty years ago. Remember Nosferatu: Phantom der Nacht? This pairing has potential, but I don't know if I'd say I'm "excited" by it. I admire the work of both men (Lynch moreso than Herzog) but I'm also wondering if this "horror movie" will end up being some tedious five-hour art-house film. |
