I finally got round to watching this at the weekend. It certainly gave a whole new meaning to phantom pregnancy.
While I don't think it was overall as creepy as the first Ju-on, it did have the single best scary moment out of the two - the end of the story about the girl who keeps hearing the knocking on the wall... Not only do we get the most horrible way I've seen of hanging a person or two, the end shot to reveal why the bodies were swinging made me switch the DVD off to give myself time to process it properly.
It is now in my top 5 scariest film moments of all time. |
