Sounds iffy to me, but maybe the comic book is a good one? Anyone know?...

But big players involved. And directed by Ron Howard?! Hmmm... maybe, maybe... I do like Ron Howard....

When LOTR first came out, I saw copies of Bad Taste and Brain Dead in the shops with "From the director of Lord of The Rings" plastered across the top of them. I love the thought of some sweet hobbit loving granny settling down to watch either of those...

Ron Howard doing Lovecraft? That's like Cliff Richard releasing a set of Radiohead cover versions.

Ron Howard directs surface films - he doesn't have the insight to get right under a a story or subjects skin. His best film is that western with Tommy Lee Jones, The Missing(?). And that was merely decent.

He's hugely overrated and immensely commercial.

I'd agree, Zed. But again, PARENTHOOD? Great flick, great ensemble flick, probably his best. Wow, thinking about it, I'm actually in the mood to go out and find it....
