"I was far too much imbued with a sense of horror of the Swine-creatures, to think of venturing, willingly, where there was any chance of coming into contact with them." From 'The House on The Borderland' 1908 - by William Hope Hodgson |

btw, if anyone's interested: I'm considering to part with my Holden & Hardingham edition of The House on the Borderland (1921). This is the so-called 'cheap edition' which is by no means cheap nowadays! My copy is the finest I've ever seen, complete with a gorgeous dust jacket. I've seen a worn, bumped, stained and jacketless copy offerd for $1,166, so forewarned is forearmed: http://www.abebooks.com/servlet/SearchResults?kn=the+house+on+the+borderland&prl =10.00&sortby=1&sts=t |
