Well it isn't. A list of films that "executives and high level assistants most liked" but were not released 2007.

http://www.raindance.co.uk/site/picture/upload/image/resources/indietips/TheBlac kList2007.pdf

I notice that The Road was well liked.

I can't honestly say I'd want to spend $100 000 000 on many of these

The only one that sounded really interesting to me, was PASSENGERS, when I first read this list. Someone passed the script to me, in pdf, but I've yet to read it... available to anyone here who wants it, save me the reading time....

PIERRE PIERRE recently sold for an ungodly amount of money, $1.25 million against $2 million. Sacha Baron Cohen became attached, so that's probably why.

I agree, THE $40,000 MAN sounds pretty funny, but is probably pretty stupid. The same goes for GIANT MONSTERS ATTACK JAPAN.

I see JUNO'S Diablo Cody has a script on here, JENNIFER'S BODY; and this list was compiled long before JUNO became any kind of hit.

ALFRED HITCHCOCK AND THE MAKING OF PSYCHO, that could be an interesting piece....

JUSTICE LEAGUE OF AMERICA, I should have tried to score that one: might have been a good fun read, if nothing else.

And it's always encouraging to see a zombie flick on a "best of" list....

The script that was #1 on last year's black list was THINGS WE LOST IN THE FIRE. Drama, I read it, but never did see the film. It was an okay script, good characters... but the film tanked horribly, and got terrible reviews. As usual, all of this is highly subjective....

Why is there a remake of Clash of the Titans in there? Surely if ever a film did not need remaking- that's one

fwiw: I finally sat down and read PASSENGERS the other day... and wow. I thought it superb. An exceptional sci-fi piece: very movie big, and very movie expansive.

There are some scripts that, you read them, it's no question: they will get attention, advance, be sought after, sold, made. This is one of those... for a screenwriter, this is one of those you strive to write....
