Yes, the work of a dyslexic town planner... Sarehole Mill is the site of the annual Tolkien Festival, as he lived there and apparently based Saruman's manor on the local area: a woodsy suburb with a river that barely rises above a trickle. The shops are crap but the local hobbit pubs have quiet little back rooms where you can buy pipe-weed for domestic use. Know what I mean?
