For those here who might be interested, The Short Review just published their review of my new collection, and alongside it is a short interview about the writing of the book.

You know, in case anyone wants to see me working hard at sounding pretentious.

Great interview, Simon. I especially like the tenth question: "Whom do you regard as your living idol?" I'm so flattered that you listed me, even calling me "a god among men."

Note: As of now, this tenth question only appears on my computer. However, anyone interested in seeing the proof simply need email me and I will forward the Word document I typed...er, I mean, that *Simon* wrote, to you.

You mean, the only bits for which Simon wasn't responsible, Ally?

'How did you choose which stories to include and in what order?'

What I meant to say too - is that I'm interested in how a writer decides on the order of the stories. Not always chronological. Thematic etc.

'the book must start strong, then end strong,' totally agree but as you say it is quite a consideration.

Sometimes it's a given - via the gods of fiction.

I'd probably go with that Des - sometimes it just happens.

Start strong, be strong in the middle, and finish strong.

But enough about my mattress prowess. We were talking fiction.

Just had a cheese and Scotch Bonnet chilli sandwich. My lips are on fire.

Just thought I'd mention it.

Not much more to tell, I'm afraid. It's all there, spelled out in pixels.

Thanks for checking this out, folks. I'm very happy with Mario Guslandi's review of CTTT, as well -- the book really seems to have won him over. Still, I figured you lot would be more interested in the interview.

And I mean every word I wrote for the tenth question, Richard. I simply adore Canadian Idol, and am looking forward to your rousing rendition of Loverboy's "Turn Me Loose".

My rendition is sure to be the stuff of legend, just you wait.

I'll be wearing a vintage Loverboy headband...

...and not much else.
